Human Gate
An augmented reality "event 2.0" in central Bologna for the 12th RoBOt Festival, born as my IAAD degree thesis.
The idea
After the collapse of the events industry during Covid, Human Gate proposes a sustainable event that joins a physical venue with virtual spaces, where people can experience music and art simulations on their own while staying connected.
The project
A portal in Bologna's historic centre opens onto a virtual world: with headsets or phones, visitors enter a route of augmented reality music and art installations. During the RoBOt Festival weekend a looped projection served as an installation, alongside an online AR filter.
